Arnie Civins knows taxes. A recognized authority on tax, estate, and financial planning, Arnie has helped thousands of individuals and businesses wade through the complex federal and local tax system and pay only their fair share to the government.
A patron of the arts, Arnie has also developed particular expertise in the entertainment industry, and is a trusted advisor to many individuals in the literary, theatrical, and film world. He also has experience advising non-profit, real estate, and construction clients.
Arnie specializes in advising clients on wealth preservation and estate, gift, and fiduciary tax matters - including valuation and compliance - and has been a frequent speaker on these topics.
He has been a partner at Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP since 1983. Prior to joining the firm, he was a tax manager at Laurence M. Brown and Company and at Samuel Klein & Company. He graduated cum laude from Marietta College and received his MBA from Rutgers University in 1972.
Arnie is a founding board member of the Naked Angels theater company and is also on the advisory board of the theater group “Our Time,” which helps children who stutter.
Arnie is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs and the New Jersey State Society of CPAs.
