Gary M. Karlitz is the partner-in-charge of valuation services, forensic services, and forensic accounting for Citrin Cooperman's four offices in New York City, NY; White Plains, NY; Springfield, NJ; and Philadelphia, PA.
For more than 20 years, he has negotiated on behalf of clients in merger and acquisition matters and in divorce proceedings, in which he has provided accounting, taxation, and valuation support. Gary has also served as a court-appointed referee and neutral valuator and testifies frequently as an expert witness in various courts. His forensic accounting experience includes asset and income searches, measurement of economic damages, as well as insurance recovery services.
Gary is a past member of the American Institute of CPAs' valuation services Examination Committee (1999-2008). As part of the eight-person national committee of valuation services experts, Gary was responsible for the preparation of the Accredited in valuation services (ABV) specialty examination and also contributed to drafting the actual questions.
Gary has given numerous CLE and CPE presentations for the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Society of CPAs' Foundation of Accounting Education, the National Association of Employment Lawyers, The Pace Law School, The Practicing Law Institute, and for various law firms.
