On November 7, 2016, Citrin Cooperman partner Joe Lesovitz was recognized by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Standing Ovation program
for his contributions to the areas of forensic accounting and business valuation at the annual AICPA Forensic & Valuation Services (VFS) Conference in Nashville, TN. The Standing Ovation program annually recognizes young CPAs who exhibit outstanding professional achievement in specialization areas, including forensic accounting and business valuation services. Requirements for nomination to the Standing Ovation program for the FVS specialty area include maintaining an active CPA license, being an AICPA member in good standing, and holding either a Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) or Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) specialty credential. Nominees must be 40 years old or younger.
“The young professionals honored this year have demonstrated significant accomplishments in the areas of forensic accounting and business valuation,” said Jeannette Koger, CPA, CGMA, AICPA’s vice president of member specialization and credentialing. “The AICPA’s Standing Ovation program was developed to identify those CPAs who are rising stars in the accounting profession, particularly in their area of specialization.”
Joe, a partner in the firm’s Valuation and Forensic Services Group, specializes in calculating damages in complex commercial litigation and in providing financial consulting and forensic accounting services to attorneys, public and private corporations, insurance companies, and governmental agencies. He joined Citrin Cooperman in 2015 after holding senior positions at leading global accounting and professional services firms and at a global investment management firm.
