David Seiden, Partner and State and Local Tax practice leader, is quoted in the U.S. News & World Report. The article "How to Plan Financially for a Spouse's Absence" presents a financial checklist that military and civilian couples should pay close attention to, especially prior to an absence.

In the article, David Seiden addresses possible tax implications, such as when a married couple sells their home. Seiden says "But you only get that $500,000 exclusion if [the] home is the principle residence of the husband and the wife for two out of the five years."
