Citrin Cooperman Announces Partner Patricia A. Cummings as Chief Risk Officer

New York City, NY (September 2023) - Citrin Cooperman is proud to announce that Partner Patricia A. Cummings has moved full time to the position of Chief Risk Officer of Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC, working to identify, monitor, and mitigate key risks facing the firm. Cummings is responsible for Citrin Cooperman’s risk governance and strategy for risk management and compliance, including relationships with key regulators and other oversight bodies. Additionally, Cummings oversees risk management including confidentiality & data privacy, regulatory matters, independence and conflicts, ethics & compliance, and sanctions compliance. She works collaboratively with the Office of the General Counsel and Chief Information Officer to ensure that all Citrin Cooperman professionals are committed to quality and integrity. Cummings is a member of Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC’s senior leadership team.

Cummings’ team provides independent oversight and guidance for managing risk and ensuring compliance, including the development and implementation of risk management measures across the firm. Her team leads efforts to build and sustain a strong culture in which all employees understand the importance of managing risk to deliver responsible growth and serve our clients and communities.

Cummings has a deep understanding of Citrin Cooperman’s business and has served in several senior roles throughout the firm, most recently as President, Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Long Island University, C.W. Post Center, an MBA from Dowling College, as well as post-graduate certifications from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School. In addition, she is a well-sought out speaker on accounting and financial reporting issues as well as a frequent speaker and writer on the topic of fairness in the workplace. Cummings is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA.
