The commercial real estate industry is continuing to adapt to the rapidly changing post-pandemic environment. The dramatic shifts caused by remote and hybrid work environments has challenged the resiliency of longstanding sectors such as office or retail. At the same time, the industry is also facing the rapid run-up of interest rates as the Federal Reserve attempts to tamp down inflation.

To gain a better understanding of how the industry response will evolve over the next year, Citrin Cooperman and Commercial Observer compiled a comprehensive market sentiment survey in September 2023, with responses from around 550 industry leaders (at the director level or higher) on issues related to the future of commercial real estate.
