Gary is a partner in Citrin Cooperman with over 17 years of experience in U.S. taxation and his industry knowledge includes real estate, private equity, venture capital, asset management and financial services.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Gary worked at two of the Big Four accounting firms for over 10 years. Gary's client experience includes portfolio companies, private equity funds, public and private real estate investment trust (REIT), broker-dealers, real estate management and construction companies, financial instruments, law firms, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, where he provides tax compliance and consulting services, including tax planning, deal structuring, and transaction tax analysis. His experience also includes qualified opportunity zone investment, fund of funds, debt workouts, and tax reporting for institutional and foreign investors within the investment management industry.

Gary plays a key role in advancing the firm’s Real Estate Industry Practice across its California offices and is actively speaking and presenting at private equity conferences and various professional organizations.
