Scott Freinberg is a partner at Citrin Cooperman based out of the firm’s Owings Mills, MD office. Scott began his career in the risk advisory space, helping clients address Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance, internal audit, information technology (IT) audit, and enterprise risk management (ERM) needs. He has assisted clients in building their initial SOX programs or optimizing existing programs, resulting in efficient, scalable solutions to address compliance requirements. Scott has continued to service clients in the risk advisory space for over 20 years, helping them transform and automate their compliance and reporting processes through technology.

Previously, Scott was a director in the Workiva Implementation Practice at Clearview Group, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2024. Specifically, Scott worked closely with clients to implement and optimize the Workiva platform to address requirements for the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) initiatives. Scott also worked with clients to automate and transform complex, time-consuming, and high-risk business processes by leveraging Workiva’s solutions.
