Experience

Joseph Zolofra is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Tax Services Practice and is based out of the Iselin office. He has extensive experience delivering tax reporting, tax compliance, and tax advisory services to clients in the financial services industry, including investment funds, banks, and insurance companies.

Joseph focuses on helping clients develop corporate tax strategies and tax reporting functions, including the structuring and startup of new entities, providing technical insight on the federal taxation of investment products, and managing consolidated and separate company U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory tax accounting.

Prior to Citrin Cooperman, Joseph was the partner-in-charge of tax for the New Jersey offices at a national accounting and advisory firm, served in the financial services group and national tax office of a Big 4 firm, and held senior tax executive leadership positions, including global head of tax, at a large insurance company.

Joseph served in the United States Marine Corps under the command of MAG-11 I Marine Amphibious Air Ground Task Force.
