Citrin Cooperman, founded in 1979, is a mid-sized tax, accounting and business consulting firm that specializes in helping entrepreneurs like you succeed.

Founders Joel Cooperman and Niles Citrin were in their twenties when they left an established public accounting firm to follow their own dreams and visions. So they know firsthand what it’s like to start from the ground-up, develop a business plan, create budgets, struggle to pay suppliers and collect receivables.

And they ultimately built a successful firm that is currently ranked the top 31st CPA firm in the country.

Because we focus on closely-held businesses and don't audit public companies, we give you and your business the attention you need – and deserve.

Our 85 partners and over 350 professionals and administrative staff work in a variety of industries and disciplines. The firm has five offices - our headquarters are located in mid-town Manhattan and we also have offices in Springfield, New Jersey; White Plains, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Southport, CT.

The majority of our professionals work in our accounting and auditing department which specializes in audit, review and compilation engagements. Our large tax department is responsible for tax research and planning, review of corporate, partnership and not-for-profit tax returns, preparation of individual tax returns, and related financial guidance on estate planning and other issues. Our management advisory services department performs systems and data processing feasibility studies, helps clients select and implementation data processing equipment and prepares budgets and cost studies.

We also perform special accounting services such as forensic services, succession planning, purchase investigations, mergers and acquisitions, fraud analyses and operational reviews.
