Experience

Alexandria Regan is the Regional Attest Practice Leader for the Attest Practice's Northeast Region, and a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Braintree and Woburn, Massachusetts offices. She has more than 25 years of accounting experience supporting New England’s not-for-profit community, particularly within the education, human services, foundation, membership, arts/cultural, religious, and health care sectors.

Alex has extensive experience with audits of nonprofit organizations of all sizes, with a diverse range of important missions. She has expertise with various state and federal regulatory reporting and compliance requirements, including Uniform Guidance, HUD regulatory reporting, Massachusetts Uniform Financial Report (UFR), and Medicaid and Medicare cost reports. She is a trusted advisor to her clients and is proactive in educating them about changes in accounting, tax, and regulatory issues that impact the not-for-profit industry. Alex advises clients on best practices relating to internal controls, policies, and procedures, and the proper implementation of these.  She has also assisted clients in Board support and development.

Alex was previously a partner at KAF, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016.

Community Involvement

Alex teaches jewelry making classes at not-for-profit organizations with programs involving youth or individuals with developmental disabilities. She also volunteers as a jewelry workshop coordinator, and has assisted human service providers in developing jewelry programs that foster the artistic talents of individuals with disabilities.

Outside the Office

Alex lives in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts with her husband Scott and sons Max and Harrison. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, paddleboarding, scuba diving, fishing with her sons, and spending time with family and friends.
