Katye Maxson-Landis is a director in Citrin Cooperman’s Cannabis Advisory Services practice. Katye is an experienced professional with over 12 years of experience working with regulated, state-legal cannabis businesses throughout the US. She has been working in the accounting field in myriad areas since 1997 as a bookkeeper, staff accountant, auditor, tax professional expert witness, and educational speaker.
Katye is a CPA, providing a wide variety of accounting, tax and consulting services to private clients in a number of specialized industries, including the emerging cannabis industry. She provides consultation for the cannabis industry on 280E tax burden analysis and mitigation, accounting consulting, business strategy, and operations. She is the co-chair of the AICPA Cannabis Conference Committee, OSCPA Women’s Initiative, and the Bud’s Bottles and Brews Joint Conference. She is a frequent speaker on the topics of sensible drug policy changes and 280E tax burden impact.
Prior to Citrin Cooperman, Katye founded and ran Moxy Accounting, LLC, a small, boutique public accounting firm based in Portland, OR.
