Partners Colleen Vallen and Jim Revels will be speaking at the Practising Law Institute's Basics of Accounting Lawyers 2016: What Every Practicing Lawyer Needs to Know seminar on May 19-20, 2016. This seminar is a basic level program that guides non-accountant attorneys through key accounting principles through every day examples attorneys encounter.

Colleen Vallen will be presenting on May 19th, the "Anatomy of the Balance Sheet" which focuses on the elements of a balance sheet - assets, liabilities, and stockholders' equity. Jim Revels will be speaking on May 20th, regarding "Trust Accounting Principles: A Separate Accounting Regime" which focuses on the basics of fiduciary accounting, principal/income allocations for trust accounting, and understanding the differences in taxation and accounting in a trust's final year and its preceding years.
