Justin Buencamino is a director in the firm's Royalty Audit, Compliance, and Consulting Practice with nearly 15 years of accounting experience. He specializes in royalty, licensing, and profit participation examinations; intellectual property valuations and due diligence in connection with transactions and various tax purposes; certifications of Annual Statements of Account on behalf of leading digital service providers; and consulting services to clients operating within the music and entertainment industry.

Experience

Justin has worked on behalf of some of the world's most renowned recording artists, producers, music publishers, songwriters, record companies, digital service providers, authors, fashion brand owners, artists, videogame developers, and other proprietors of intellectual property and rights in the music, entertainment, and fashion industries.

Justin’s career in the music industry began with Sony BMG, where he was a royalty liaison to several country music labels, including BNA Records, RCA Nashville, and Arista Nashville. Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Justin was a Senior Manager in the Advisory Services Group at Prager Metis CPAs, LLC (formerly Prager and Fenton LLP), where he focused on royalty contract compliance and intellectual property valuations for nearly 15 years.
