Kathleen Poorbaugh is a partner in the firm’s DC Metro office with over 35 years of audit, accounting, and tax experience. She specializes in tax consulting and compliance, planning, and research for high net worth individuals, and various industries including government contracting, real estate, and professional services.

Kathy has extensive experience with individual taxpayers and accounting and management advisory services for commercial businesses. Her expertise also includes advising on corporate tax issues including tax planning for mergers and acquisitions of closely-held entities, business start-up issues, such as entity choice and accounting methods, accounting system development, executive compensation planning, and multi-state planning.

Kathy also has experience helping individual taxpayers, including self-employed individuals, with tax planning and compliance, specifically estate planning, real estate investments, and maximizing retirement plan contributions.
