Partner and Music and Entertainment Valuation Services Practice Leader Barry Massarsky and Partner Jake DeVries were recently interviewed by Billboard Pro, where they highlighted their 2025 music valuation work. In 2025, Citrin Cooperman's Music and Entertainment Valuation Services Practice priced 566 catalogs totaling nearly $13 billion.
"Did you find any surprises in the trends and data from your 2025 catalog valuations?" Devries shared, “It's interesting how 2000s music performed as well as it did in the most recent year, against strong growth across all well-established release year cohorts. We found that that was an interesting development."
